Nest & Co Studio — Nurturing Expression, Skill, Talent & Community
Nest & Co Studio is a small, independent art space designed for young people to develop their artistic voice in a setting that feels both focused and supportive. Courses are taught in a professional artist’s studio, with a clear structure and personal approach that recognises the creative journey as something deeply individual and valuable in its own right.
I offer small-group, boutique-style courses in Pre-GCSE, GCSE, A-Level, and Arts Award pathways, each tailored to meet students where they are — whether they are just beginning to explore their creativity or preparing for formal qualifications. Lessons are practical, flexible, and paced to suit self-directed learning, allowing students to build strong foundations in technique, critical thinking, and self-expression.
With over 20 years of experience as a practising artist and educator, my teaching draws on both professional expertise and a deep commitment to nurturing confidence, independence, and creative integrity. Students work with high-quality tools and materials, guided through a wide range of traditional and contemporary techniques — including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media — while being encouraged to pursue their own ideas and interests.
The studio is intentionally small, allowing for meaningful mentoring and strong peer connection. In this environment, young artists not only learn skills — they learn how to trust their instincts, take creative risks, and engage with their work in a deeper, more thoughtful way. The community that forms here is supportive, curious, and grounded in the joy of shared making, quality, and creativity. Before officially joining a course, each student is invited to attend a trial session — a chance to get a feel for the studio, meet the group, and ensure it’s the right fit for both the student and the space.
Nest & Co Studio is more than a course — it’s a space where young people are taken seriously as artists, and where their voices are given room to flourish.
